Lilli Strömland is an emerging still life painter based in Sydney, living and working on Gadigal land.
Investigating notions of nostalgia, the domestic, and connection to objects and intimate space, along with her personal history and childhood; Lilli’s work explores individual yet universal experiences. Strömland utilises still life to understand her own familial history and Australian/Swedish heritage. She is also deeply interested in traditional forms of craft and making from her dual heritage, interlacing ceramic and textiles into her practice.
