Suzie is committed to painting the places that she walks daily with her dog. She immerses herself in places she understands, that are experienced every day in all seasons and weathers. The energy of these coastal environments is what attracts her. The constant day to day changes are continually the inspiration to make work.
Suzie’s images of headlands, ocean pools, changing tides and everchanging skies explore the dynamic patterns of the coastal environment. The paintings are inspired by daily experiences, observations and memories of her local area, walking across the headlands, on the sand and swimming in the surf and the ocean pools.
