Jane Adams

As a child, I remember being fascinated by a small mosaic pot my grandmother had made. It was planted with small, spiky cactus and lived outside on a covered verandah. I loved it.

Travels in later years in Italy, India, Spain & Morocco fed the fascination again and I became obsessed with the art form.

A serendipitous meeting led me to a mosaic workshop and I’ve been entranced ever since. I was delighted to attend a master class in Ravenna, Italy in August 2023.

Using the pique assiette technique marries in another passion of mine, vintage China.

My mosaics blend accidentally broken and carefully cut China in a celebration of the beauty of these relics.

It is a privilege to be handed someone’s broken or cracked treasure, often a sentimental piece from a loved one to rework it.
